Job Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Required health screening, TB clearance, and criminal record clearance
- Special licenses, certifications, and certificates including First Aid/CPR certified
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work preferably in a health care or senior living setting
- Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and lift moderate weights
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to push and pull up to 50 lbs
- Compliance with California Code of Regulations Sections 85065(f)/87411(g)
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial work, preferably in health care or senior living setting
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment used in a professional setting
- Understanding of infection control practices and safety protocols
- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to interact professionally with residents and staff
- Dependability and punctuality in adhering to assigned work schedules
- Respect for resident privacy and commitment to maintaining confidentiality
- Valid certifications such as First Aid and CPR are a plus
Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and changing bed linens
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in common areas such as lounges, dining areas, hallways, and restrooms
- Perform regular cleaning tasks such as emptying trash bins, cleaning windows, and polishing surfaces
- Follow established protocols and safety guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel promptly
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies and procedures to maintain a hygienic environment
- Assist in monitoring and replenishing housekeeping supplies, including toiletries, towels, and cleaning products
- Collaborate with other staff members to coordinate cleaning schedules and prioritize tasks effectively
- Uphold the privacy and confidentiality of residents' personal belongings and information
- Provide excellent customer service and respond to resident inquiries or concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- May need to move furniture to ensure cleanliness of designated areas
- Support with additional duties as needed
