Job Requirements

  • ability to read labels and follow oral and written instructions in English
  • ability to remain calm in stressful situations and to take appropriate action
  • ability to visually assess all aspects of facility
  • ability to distinguish smells and temperatures and to hear and respond to pages
  • ability to walk, reach, bend, lift, grasp, pull, stretch, stoop and have fine hand coordination
  • ability to lift and move furniture and heavy items weighing approximately 40 pounds

  • ability to lift and move furniture and heavy items weighing approximately 40 pounds
  • previous experience in a hospital or long term care facility preferred

Job Duties

  • clean assigned areas of the facility including resident rooms and bathrooms on a scheduled basis
  • maintain high standards of cleanliness adhering to infection control and safety protocols
  • cooperate with other staff to perform duties with minimum disruption
  • maintain a clean and orderly work area and department
  • assist in maintaining adequate supplies for the department
  • visually assess all aspects of the facility to ensure cleanliness and safety
  • respond promptly to pages and communication
