Job Requirements
- ability to read labels and follow oral and written instructions in English
- ability to remain calm in stressful situations and to take appropriate action
- ability to visually assess all aspects of facility
- ability to distinguish smells and temperatures and to hear and respond to pages
- ability to walk, reach, bend, lift, grasp, pull, stretch, stoop and have fine hand coordination
- ability to lift and move furniture and heavy items weighing approximately 40 pounds

- previous experience in a hospital or long term care facility preferred
Job Duties
- clean assigned areas of the facility including resident rooms and bathrooms on a scheduled basis
- maintain high standards of cleanliness adhering to infection control and safety protocols
- cooperate with other staff to perform duties with minimum disruption
- maintain a clean and orderly work area and department
- assist in maintaining adequate supplies for the department
- visually assess all aspects of the facility to ensure cleanliness and safety
- respond promptly to pages and communication
