- four to six months housekeeping experience or training preferred but not required

Job Duties
- Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens
- must be able to clean multiple rooms daily including changing linens, making beds, dusting, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, polishing furniture and fixtures
- replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies
- cleans corridors and stairways
- sweeps and scrubs bathroom floors
- cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies
- dusts furniture, washes walls, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills
- empties wastebaskets and cleans ashtrays
- transports trash and waste to disposal area
- replenishes bathroom supplies
- replaces light bulbs
- scrubs bathroom vanity, toilet, mirrors, walls, and bathroom fan
- completes quality checks on television, telephone, AC, and smoke detectors
- removes items left behind and follows hotel lost and found procedures
- reports maintenance problems through proper communication channels
- uses supplies and equipment carefully
- wears proper uniform at all times
- achieves 90 percent or higher on room inspections
- greets guests pleasantly
- knows in-house products and local area information
- organizes and stocks cart timely
- keeps commercial area clean
- responds to housekeeping supply needs within 10 minutes
- uses guest names when entering rooms
- checks vacant rooms daily for status accuracy
- maintains supply room neat and organized
- displays team attitude and assists co-workers when needed
