Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Able to provide housekeeping and laundry services that meet Sunrise quality standards
  • Desire to work with seniors
  • Ability to follow safety and infection control protocols
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work semi-independently and handle multiple priorities
  • Willingness to participate in required drug testing and health screenings
  • Comply with vaccination requirements as mandated by federal, state, and local laws

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Experience providing housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment
  • Strong desire to work with seniors
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Competent organizational and time management skills
  • Good judgment and the ability to make sound decisions
  • Ability to work independently with initiative but also collaboratively within a team
  • Familiarity with safety and infection control procedures

Job Duties

  • Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting Sunrise quality standards
  • Clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures
  • Sweep, dust, mop, spot clean and vacuum floors, rugs, and carpets
  • Maintain equipment and supplies in a clean orderly condition
  • Collect, wash, dry, fold, and redistribute community linens following approved laundry procedures
  • Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
  • Adhere to safety procedures including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Participate as a team member supporting community goals and values
  • Attend regular team meetings and maintain compliance with all required training
  • Perform other duties as assigned
