Job Requirements
- High school education or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or maintenance experience required
- Strong communication skills in English
- Reliable and organized work ethic
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Willingness to work weekends
- Physical ability to perform cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Commitment to safety and infection control protocols
Job Qualifications
- Some high school education
- Housekeeping or general maintenance experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing
- Dependability and common sense
- Ability to organize daily cleaning schedule and complete assignments
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Interest in working with older adults
- Availability to work weekends as needed
Job Duties
- Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedule and departmental standards
- Complete minor maintenance tasks including changing light bulbs, plunging toilets, and replacing batteries
- Maintain floors with sweeping, dry and wet mopping, stripping, scrubbing, waxing, vacuuming, extraction, hosting, and buffing
- Assist in cleaning emergency spills promptly
- Perform project cleaning of walls, ceilings, vents, light fixtures, and windows
- Remove trash and recyclables from collection points and replace liners
- Assist in resident room turnovers, furniture moves, and linen program activities
