Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or similar experience preferred
- Ability to maintain a clean and sanitary environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Must be able to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with employees and residents
- General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
- Ability to retain orders up to four at one time
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Basic computer skills
Job Duties
- Provide general housekeeping for both the community and individual resident apartments including vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning entryways and common areas
- Clean and defrost refrigerators, check heat system filters, change bed linens, ensure adequate linen supplies in apartments, and empty waste baskets
- Perform deep cleaning of apartments focusing on carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures
- Launder all linens using community laundry facilities
- Follow company sanitation and safety procedures
- Greet residents and guests, serve beverages, cereals, soups, and salads from the cart
- Take resident meal orders, serve meals and desserts, and assist with storage of perishable items
- Bus and clear dishes after meals, sanitize tables and chairs, vacuum carpets, and complete side work such as replenishing sugar holders and cleaning the coffeemaker
- Perform other duties as assigned
