Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning preferred
- Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds without assistance
- Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift
- Ability to bend, stoop, and work under adverse conditions such as dust and noise
- Capability to climb stairs and work safely on ladders or lifts
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Must have a professional appearance
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must adhere to union dues and fees
- Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to complete OSHA BBP training and follow safety protocols
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Previous experience in similar housekeeping or cleaning functions desirable
- Ability to use small and medium-sized powered cleaning equipment
- Ability to listen and follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to read and understand GHS chemical safety program and SDS sheets
- Ability to safely work from ladders and small lifts
- Completion of OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens training and adherence to related protocols
- Willingness and ability to operate large powered cleaning equipment or complete required training
- Ability to work flexible hours including daytime, evening, weekends, and holidays
- Proficiency in English reading, writing, and speaking
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Minimum age of 18 years
Job Duties
- Participates in cleaning various rooms and areas of the facility including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming carpets, removal of trash to disposal areas
- Cleans restrooms and restocks supplies
- Cleans stains from carpets and seats
- Cleans windows inside and outside the facility
- Assists with recycling separation and proper disposal of recyclables
- Cleans and maintains equipment and other assigned areas
- Operates walkie-talkie radio when required
- Presents a neat and groomed appearance at all times
