Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Job Qualifications
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- Effective communication skills in English with employees and residents
- General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
- Ability to retain orders up to four at one time
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Basic computer skills
Job Duties
- Provide general housekeeping for both the community as a whole and individual resident apartments
- Clean and defrost refrigerators and check heat system filters in resident apartments
- Change bed linens and ensure adequate linen supplies in each apartment
- Perform deep cleaning of apartments focusing on carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures
- Launder all linens using provided laundry facilities
- Follow company sanitation and safety procedures
- Greet residents and guests and serve beverages, cereals, soups, salads, meals, and desserts
- Take resident orders and assist with food storage
- Bus and clear dishes from tables and reset for the next meal following sanitizing procedures
- Complete side work such as filling sugar holders and cleaning coffeemaker
- Perform other duties as needed or assigned
