Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous housekeeping or custodial experience preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Ability to communicate clearly in English
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation procedures
- Availability to work part time with flexible hours
Job Qualifications
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- Effective communication in English with employees and residents
- General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
- Ability to retain orders up to four at a time
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Basic computer skills
Job Duties
- Provide general housekeeping for the community and individual resident apartments including vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning common areas
- Clean and defrost refrigerators, change bed linens, check heat system filters, and maintain linen supplies in resident apartments
- Perform deep cleaning of apartments focusing on carpets, plants, pictures, and light fixtures
- Launder linens using provided laundry facilities
- Follow company sanitation and safety procedures
- Greet residents and guests with a smile and serve beverages, cereals, soups, and salads from the cart
- Review the menu, take orders, and serve meals and desserts to residents
- Return cart to kitchen, assist with storage of perishable items, and deliver trays to resident rooms if needed
- Bus and clear tables after meals, sanitize tables and chairs, vacuum carpets
- Complete side work including refilling sugar holders, replenishing creamers, and cleaning the coffee maker
- Perform other duties as assigned
