- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous institutional cleaning experience preferred
- ability to perform physically demanding tasks including standing, walking, stooping, climbing, and lifting
- ability to operate mechanical cleaning equipment
- visual ability to detect cleanliness
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- ability to adapt to changing priorities
- must express concern for detailed cleaning

Job Duties
- Perform dry and wet mopping
- perform waste removal
- wash walls and windows
- conduct floor care procedures
- operate mechanical cleaning equipment such as buffers and vacuum cleaners
- work in special hospital areas including surgery, labor and delivery, nursery, isolation rooms, and intensive care units
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation to hospital standards
