Job Duties
- Clean, disinfect and straighten resident rooms, work areas and common spaces according to cleaning schedule
- clean carpets, furniture and draperies with vacuum cleaner or shampooer
- sweep, scrub and polish hard floors using broom, mop or power scrubber
- scrub and disinfect sinks, tubs, toilets and bathing rooms
- dust and polish furniture and metalwork
- wash windows, sills and doors
- clean and disinfect spills and soiled areas as needed
- deep clean according to schedule
- move and straighten furniture
- maintain cleanliness of unoccupied rooms to make them attractive for resident occupancy
- empty wastebaskets and properly dispose of trash
- collect, wash, dry, fold and distribute laundry as directed
- ensure equipment is stored properly
- promote positive relationships with residents, staff and visitors
- perform any other duties as requested within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job
