Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- ability to provide housekeeping and laundry services meeting Sunrise quality standards
- desire to work with seniors
- ability to comply with safety and infection control procedures
- must pass pre-employment drug test
- ability to participate in required health testing such as Tuberculosis and physical evaluation
- as applicable, team members driving a Sunrise vehicle must understand and sign Driver job description

Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas
- perform cleaning duties on schedule including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming floors and carpets
- clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures
- dust, wash, sponge mop, and hand shampoo furniture
- knock on residents and public restroom doors before entering and respect privacy
- maintain equipment and supplies in clean and orderly condition
- transport supplies including clean and soiled linen to appropriate areas
- collect trash and maintain trash receptacles
- collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry
- sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens properly
- inspect linens for wear and tear and follow procedures for damaged items
- maintain commercial laundry cleanliness
- assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care as requested
- practice positive resident relations and respond to resident requests
- review and notate daily logs for resident information
- ensure cleaning chemicals are stored and locked when not in use
- keep cords, carts, and equipment clear of exits and compliant with fire codes
- comply with occupational health and safety regulations
- practice safety procedures including use of PPE, fire extinguishers, and lockout tagout
- maintain equipment to prevent waste and accidents
- comply with infection control techniques and procedures
- participate as a team member and work toward team goals
- demonstrate team member credo in interactions
- commit to serving residents through principles of service
- engage in customer and team member engagement programs
- attend regular meetings as directed
- maintain compliance with required training
- perform other duties as assigned
