Job Requirements

  • Previous experience in housekeeping or a related field preferred
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow cleaning protocols

Job Duties

  • Maintain a positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service and cleanliness to guests
  • Maintain a high level of professional appearance and demeanor, wearing the brand-approved uniform and name tag as required
  • Maintain the highest level of confidentiality in all areas giving guests the highest level of trust in housekeeping staff
  • Demonstrate a professional sense of urgency while in guest rooms and public spaces to provide a thoughtful guest experience promptly
  • Clean and stock all guest rooms as assigned, including changing linens, replacing supplies, dusting, vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning bathrooms, dusting and polishing furniture and appliances
  • Keep Head Housekeeper informed of room status on a timely basis
  • Greet guests as you encounter them throughout the property
  • Take pride in your work, strictly adhering to all Federal, State, Local and Brand health, safety, and sanitary guidelines
  • Complete training in all areas of security, alcohol, and health and safety, ensuring compliance with OSHA and other guidelines
  • Follow all safe chemical handling procedures
  • Keep workspace, storage rooms, and housekeeping carts clean and well organized and stocked
  • Work in an organized fashion following the step-by-step process
  • Observe the condition of furniture, walls, trim, carpet, and appliances and report deficiencies
  • Keep communication lines open within the housekeeping department
  • Participate in daily standup meetings and staff meetings
  • Adhere to key control guidelines
  • Assist in quarterly, spring, fall, and annual cleaning duties
  • Turn in lost and found items following procedures
  • Assist in training new staff
  • Support a positive, enjoyable work environment
  • Understand hotel products and services
  • Perform other duties as assigned
