Job Requirements

- Experience in cleaning or janitorial work preferred
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks

Job Qualifications

- Previous experience in cleaning or janitorial work preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Understanding of infection control procedures
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols

- Ability to use cleaning equipment properly
- Willingness to comply with health and safety vaccination requirements
Job Duties
- Clean and disinfect resident areas, restrooms, showers/baths, resident dining rooms, utility rooms, corridors, stairwells, and elevators
- Empty and reline trash containers taking trash to the designated holding area
- Dust mop, vacuum, and damp mop floors
- Clean and disinfect all high-touch surfaces including over-bed tables, light switches, shower stalls, restroom sink and toilet fixtures
- Vacuum/damp wipe ledges, over-bed lights, vents, windowsills, and furniture
- Clean inside of room glass and glass panels
- Replenish paper towel, toilet paper, and soap supplies to ensure availability
- Ensure all furniture is neatly and properly arranged
- Perform terminal cleaning of resident rooms upon discharge
- Clean and disinfect bed mattresses, frames, bedside cabinets, armoires, and wheelchairs
- Shampoo/extract carpets and upholstered furniture
- Scrub and refinish hard surface flooring
- Follow established safety and sanitation policies
- Use appropriate personal protective equipment and dispose of it properly
- Dispose of refuse according to standard procedures
- Set up cleaning carts properly with labeled chemicals
- Follow prescribed routine and terminal cleaning procedures
- Set up appropriate caution and safety signs prior to performing job functions
