Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience desirable
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- Willingness to work part-time hours with flexible schedule
- Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures
Job Qualifications
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- Effective communication in English with employees and residents
- General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
- Ability to retain orders up to four at one time
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Basic computer skills
Job Duties
- Provide general housekeeping for community and resident apartments including vacuuming, dusting, cleaning main entryway and common areas
- Clean and defrost refrigerators, check heat system filters, change bed linens, ensure linen supplies, turn mattresses with assistance, empty waste baskets
- Perform deep cleaning of apartments with focus on carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, light fixtures
- Launder all linens using provided laundry facilities
- Follow company sanitation and safety procedures
- Greet residents and guests to serve beverages, cereals, soups, salads
- Review menu, take orders, serve meals and desserts
- Return cart to kitchen, assist with storage of perishable items, deliver trays to resident rooms if needed
- Bus and clear dishes, reset tables following sanitizing procedures
- Complete side work such as replenishing sugar holders, cleaning coffeemaker
- Perform other duties as assigned
