Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of housekeeping experience
  • Current food handlers' certificate
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Strong English communication skills
  • Reliable and able to work independently and in a team
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including days, evenings, and weekends

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in housekeeping
  • Some food preparation experience preferred
  • Current food handlers' certificates
  • Demonstrated knowledge of food service standards
  • Demonstrated reliability and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong English language communication skills
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stay on feet for extended periods
  • Ability to work full-time with flexibility for day, evening, and weekend shifts when necessary

Job Duties

  • Maintain all common areas of the dormitory, offices and student rooms
  • Mop or dust mop floors, vacuum, dust and polish furniture
  • Clean and disinfect sink areas and bathrooms daily
  • Scrub, buff and wax floors
  • Maintain necessary supplies in all rooms, bathrooms, instructors' rooms, and beverage stations
  • Maintain all linens for the dormitory and provide clean linens for student rooms daily
  • Complete cleaning tasks efficiently, thoroughly and in a manner that respects students' privacy and schedules
  • Assist in meal service and meal preparation as needed
  • Adhere to organization's safety policies and promptly report incidents and accidents
  • Undertake other cleaning or dormitory duties as assigned, including certain driving responsibilities if needed
