Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to follow detailed instructions and cleaning schedules
- capability to handle cleaning chemicals safely
- physical ability to perform cleaning duties for extended periods
- must be able to work independently and as part of a team
- personal integrity and reliability

Job Duties
- Ensure that work and cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical
- coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas
- perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments
- ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner
- keep work and assignment areas free of hazardous objects, unnecessary equipment, supplies, etc.
- follow proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants, and solutions used in the work area
- refer to material safety data sheets (MSDSs) when necessary
- ensure that established infection control and universal precautions practices are maintained when performing laundry procedures
