Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- experience in housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment
- desire to work with seniors
- ability to follow safety and infection control procedures
- capable of handling multiple priorities and interruptions
- ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- able to work independently with initiative
- willingness to participate in team activities and training
- must comply with health and safety requirements including drug testing and vaccination policies

Job Duties
- perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas as assigned while meeting or exceeding quality standards
- perform cleaning duties according to schedule including sweeping, dusting, mopping, spot cleaning, vacuuming floors and carpets
- clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures
- dust, wash, sponge mop, sanitize and hand shampoo furniture and clean glass surfaces and woodwork
- knock on resident and restroom doors before entering and respect privacy
- maintain equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
- transport supplies including clean and soiled linen and collect and remove trash maintaining sanitary conditions
- collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry
- sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens following approved procedures
- inspect linens for wear and tear and manage damaged linens according to policy
- maintain commercial laundry cleanliness
- assist care managers and department coordinators with resident care when requested
- respond to resident requests and document resident information in daily logs
- ensure cleaning chemicals are safely stored and comply with fire safety codes
- promote risk management and safety policies including PPE and infection control
- participate in team engagement activities, meetings, and training programs
- perform other duties as assigned
