Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to work full time including weekends and holidays
- physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- reliable transportation to and from work
- ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- effective interpersonal skills for resident interaction
Job Qualifications
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- effective communication in English with employees and residents
- general knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
- ability to retain up to four orders at one time
- strong organization and time management skills
- basic computer skills
Job Duties
- Provide general housekeeping for the community and individual resident apartments including vacuuming and dusting
- clean and defrost refrigerators and check heat system filters in resident apartments
- change bed linens and ensure adequate linen supplies
- provide deep cleaning of apartments including carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures
- launder linens by washing and drying
- follow company sanitation and safety procedures
- greet residents and guests to serve beverages, cereals, soups, and salads
- review the meal menu with residents, take orders, serve meals and desserts
- return cart to kitchen and assist with perishable storage
- deliver trays to resident rooms if needed
- bus and clear dishes, reset tables and chairs using proper sanitizing
- complete side work such as filling sugar holders and cleaning coffeemaker
- perform other duties as assigned
