Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience preferably in a residential health care facility
  • ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks
  • good verbal communication skills
  • consistent and reliable attendance
  • proof of Influenza (Flu) vaccination or an approved Medical or Religious exemption
  • must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet
  • stand and walk for long periods of time
  • must be able to safely navigate stairs
  • work in precarious or high locations (ladders, etc)
  • reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching
  • exposure to housekeeping/cleaning agents and/or chemicals
  • exposure to humidity, some hot equipment
  • exposure to noise
  • exposure to blood and/or body fluids

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • customer service skills and the ability to interact with patients, their families, and our Hospice Clinical Team
  • 2 years experience preferably in a residential health care facility
  • knowledge of cleaning techniques and safety practices
  • ability to work independently and follow instructions
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • good verbal communication skills

Job Duties

  • Cleaning and sanitizing designated areas including patient rooms, common areas, bathrooms, and office spaces
  • emptying trash and replacing garbage bags
  • dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and surfaces
  • vacuuming carpets and mopping floors
  • restocking supplies in restrooms and common areas
  • reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate personnel
  • following infection control and safety guidelines
  • assisting with laundry and linen services as needed
  • attending training sessions and meetings as required
