Job Requirements
- Must function independently and have flexibility

- Ability to work effectively with residents, personnel, and support agencies
- Willingness to follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines
- Ability to handle materials identified as infectious safely
- Physical capability to perform cleaning duties
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Qualifications
- Ability to work independently and demonstrate flexibility
- Personal integrity and reliability
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with nursing and other personnel
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures, chemical handling, and infection control practices
- Experience in a healthcare or similar environment preferred but not required
- Basic understanding of safety standards and regulations
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
Job Duties
- Ensure that work/cleaning schedules are followed as closely as practical
- Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services when performing routine assignments in resident living areas
- Perform specific tasks in accordance with daily work assignments
- Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner
- Keep work/assignment areas free of hazardous objects, unnecessary equipment, supplies, etc.
- Follow proper techniques when mixing chemicals, disinfectants, and solutions used in the work area
- Refer to material safety data sheets (MSDSs) when necessary
- Ensure that established infection control and universal precautions practices are maintained when performing laundry procedures
