Job Requirements

- Previous experience in housekeeping and laundry services
- Desire to work with seniors
- Ability to follow safety and infection control protocols
- Strong communication and organizational skills

Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting quality standards
- Clean assigned areas including sweeping, dusting, wet mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing lavatory fixtures, polishing furniture and glass surfaces
- Respect residents’ privacy by knocking before entering rooms and maintaining professional conduct
- Maintain housekeeping equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
- Transport supplies including clean and soiled linen to appropriate areas
- Collect and dispose of trash in a sanitary manner
- Collect, wash, dry, fold, and redistribute community laundry according to approved procedures
- Inspect linens for wear and tear and follow procedures for damaged linens
- Maintain commercial laundry area clean and orderly
- Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care as requested
- Respond to resident requests and communicate feedback to supervisors
- Review daily logs to monitor resident health and behavior changes
- Ensure proper storage and locking of cleaning chemicals
- Keep hazards like cords and equipment clear of exits and comply with fire codes
- Promote safety compliance and participate in risk management efforts
- Use personal protective equipment and follow safety protocols
- Maintain equipment to prevent waste and accidents
- Comply with infection control techniques and bio-hazard procedures
- Participate in team meetings and training
- Contribute positively to team goals and resident service principles
- Perform other duties as assigned
