Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of previous experience
- Ability to utilize software programs in order to complete work functions
- Ability to follow safety protocols including OSHA training
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and standing for long periods
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Availability to work part-time day shifts including weekends as needed
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 1 to 3 years of previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to utilize software programs such as Educare or TELS to complete job functions
- Less than 1 year previous experience accepted
- Ability to follow safety procedures including OSHA regulations
- Good communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
Job Duties
- Cleans resident and common areas of the community as assigned
- Performs thorough cleaning of all assigned areas including vacuuming carpets, sweeping and mopping floors, dusting and wiping surfaces, sanitizing bathrooms, cleaning glass windows and mirrors
- Prioritizes tasks and completes them within allotted time
- Assists in cleaning emergency spills as needed
- Follows cleaning schedule and instructions regarding individualized resident housekeeping needs
- Performs job duties safely using correct body mechanics and personal protective equipment
- Safely mixes chemicals according to manufacturer instructions
- Demonstrates precautionary work practices such as use of wet floor signs and managing electrical cords
- Completes all OSHA training modules timely
- Maintains cleaning equipment, supplies, housekeeping cart, and storage area daily
- Safeguards hazardous materials by locking when not in use
- Communicates supply restocking and equipment repair needs
- Adheres to all Lockout/Tagout policy requirements
- Assists with light maintenance tasks as needed
- Participates actively in team meetings providing feedback and reports on housekeeping status
