Job Requirements
- Physical ability to perform cleaning duties including standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods
- Dependability and strong work ethic
- Ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Willingness to engage respectfully with residents, visitors, and staff
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals and supplies
- Ability to follow safety and infection control protocols
- Availability to work full-time hours
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience is an asset
- Ability to meet physical demands including standing, walking and lifting for extended periods
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrates genuine care for elderly and disabled individuals
Job Duties
- Clean resident and facility areas including scrubbing, mopping, buffing, polishing, dusting, and disinfecting bathrooms, bedrooms, hallways and common spaces
- Restock supplies such as paper products and soap regularly
- Engage respectfully with residents, visitors, and staff daily to promote a welcoming environment
- Maintain organized workspaces and report any maintenance issues
- Adhere to safety and infection control policies and procedures
- Assist with laundry and linen management as required
- Support team members with additional cleaning tasks when needed
