Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Ability to provide housekeeping and laundry services that meet or exceed quality standards
- Desire to work with seniors
- Willingness to participate in required health screenings and drug testing
- Commitment to safety compliance and infection control
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work semi-independently
- Capacity to handle frequent interruptions and maintain respect for resident privacy.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment
- Desire to work with seniors
- Ability to follow health and safety procedures including the use of personal protective equipment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Good judgment and problem-solving abilities
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Competent in multitasking and working with minimal supervision.
Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas while meeting or exceeding quality standards
- Perform cleaning duties according to schedule including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming floors and carpets, sanitizing and polishing fixtures and furniture
- Knock on resident and restroom doors before entering to respect privacy
- Maintain equipment and supplies in clean and orderly condition
- Transport supplies including clean and soiled linen to appropriate areas
- Collect and remove trash maintaining sanitary conditions
- Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and stack linens following approved laundry procedures
- Inspect linens for wear and tear and manage damaged linens per community procedures
- Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
- Practice positive resident relations and document relevant resident information
- Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored safely and hazards are managed to comply with safety codes
- Participate as a team member committing to shared goals and community engagement
- Attend required training and meetings and perform other assigned duties.
