Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- ability to pass a written TABE test
- ability to read, write, and understand English
- ability to follow simple oral and written directions
- excellent customer service skills
- ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
- ability to use cleaning equipment such as mops, buckets, cleaning solutions, vacuum cleaners, utility carts, floor cleaning machines, wet/dry vacuums
- ability to work days, evenings, or weekends
- ability to travel between sites
- valid New York State driver’s license and access to a vehicle
- ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- frequent standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, talking, seeing, and performing repetitive motions
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Monitors refrigerators and removes spoiled food
- follows principles of infection control and universal precautions
- cleans blood and bodily fluids as needed
- observes and reports pest control issues and participates in corrective actions
- observes and reports unusual room conditions and environmental safety issues
- performs cleaning procedures after resident discharge or transfer
- assists new residents with move-in tasks such as hanging clothing
- makes beds and straightens residents' rooms as needed
- cleans hallways, stairways, elevators, staff and participant bathrooms, clinic areas, break rooms, and kitchens
- responds promptly to work orders and completes related documentation
- adheres to compliance policies, procedures, and code of conduct
- promotes and maintains positive respectful relationships with all customers and community partners
- demonstrates knowledge of emergency preparedness plans and roles
- promotes and role models the mission, values, vision, and strategic goals
- demonstrates excellent customer service skills and professional behavior
- attends required meetings and training sessions
- complies with health and safety requirements and practices safety awareness
- understands and complies with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements
- performs additional related duties as assigned
