Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to maintain patient and tactful composure when dealing with residents with Alzheimer’s or dementia, family members, staff, and visitors
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Commitment to Touchmark's core values of excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion
  • Experience in housekeeping preferred but not required
  • Must be able to perform physical tasks related to housekeeping duties

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in housekeeping within a resort or retirement community preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Demonstrated patience and tact when interacting with residents, including those with Alzheimer’s or dementia
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays as required
  • Commitment to upholding the values of excellence, teamwork, hospitality, integrity, and compassion

Job Duties

  • Perform thorough cleaning of resident homes and community common areas
  • Maintain cleanliness standards consistent with health and safety regulations
  • Build and sustain positive relationships with residents by demonstrating empathy and respect
  • Handle housekeeping tasks including dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces
  • Report maintenance issues or safety hazards to appropriate staff
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and resident satisfaction
  • Manage supplies and equipment responsibly to support housekeeping duties
