Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
- Knowledge of safe and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Physical ability to lift up to 65lbs and perform manual tasks such as stooping, bending, walking, standing for long periods
- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions
- Ability to safely work from a ladder
- Capability to push or move heavy equipment and furniture
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Institutional housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to demonstrate correct use of work-related chemicals, supplies, tools and equipment
- Ability to collaborate with others to provide optimal customer service
- Ability to lift and transport objects weighing up to 65lbs
- Ability to stoop, bend, walk and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to work from a ladder
- Ability to push and move equipment and furniture
- Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands when working with required equipment
Job Duties
- Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas using standard cleaning supplies and disinfectants
- Sanitize rooms after resident discharge for terminal cleaning
- Clean apartments in Senior or Assisted Living settings after resident move or renovations and report maintenance needs
- Move and relocate furniture, furnishings, and equipment during resident room changes or for events
- Care for hard surface floors and carpets including dust mopping, damp mopping, and spot cleaning
- Pick up and remove trash in assigned areas
- Maintain department equipment in clean and safe condition and remove unsafe equipment from service
