Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Knowledge of safe and proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical ability to lift up to 65lbs and perform manual tasks such as stooping, bending, walking, standing for long periods
  • Flexibility to work in various weather conditions
  • Ability to safely work from a ladder
  • Capability to push or move heavy equipment and furniture
  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Institutional housekeeping experience preferred
  • Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to demonstrate correct use of work-related chemicals, supplies, tools and equipment
  • Ability to collaborate with others to provide optimal customer service
  • Ability to lift and transport objects weighing up to 65lbs
  • Ability to stoop, bend, walk and stand for extended periods
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Ability to work from a ladder
  • Ability to push and move equipment and furniture
  • Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands when working with required equipment

Job Duties

  • Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas using standard cleaning supplies and disinfectants
  • Sanitize rooms after resident discharge for terminal cleaning
  • Clean apartments in Senior or Assisted Living settings after resident move or renovations and report maintenance needs
  • Move and relocate furniture, furnishings, and equipment during resident room changes or for events
  • Care for hard surface floors and carpets including dust mopping, damp mopping, and spot cleaning
  • Pick up and remove trash in assigned areas
  • Maintain department equipment in clean and safe condition and remove unsafe equipment from service
