Job Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, Trade School Diploma, or equivalent
- comparable work experience
- experience operating vacuum cleaner and high-speed buffer
- ability to lift and move furniture and appliances
- ability to stand for several hours during shift and to climb stairs in the event of an emergency
- willingness to work onsite
- ability to work a 35-hour work week
- ability to perform physical tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, waxing, and snow shoveling
Job Qualifications
- Comparable work experience
- experience operating vacuum cleaner and high-speed buffer
- ability to lift and move furniture and appliances
- high School Diploma, GED, Trade School Diploma, or equivalent
- ability to stand for several hours during shift and to climb stairs in the event of an emergency
- experience working with special needs populations is a plus
- basic knowledge of using a computer is a plus
Job Duties
- Sweep, mop, wash, dust, and vacuum
- seal, wax, and buff floors and hard surfaces
- maintain sidewalks, including sweeping, raking leaves, and shoveling snow
- clean individual units when vacated or requested by work order
- sort and package recyclables to comply with NYC regulations
- operate compactor
- set up and clean up for meetings and other events
- assist painters and engineers when assigned
- perform work at other facilities as required
- perform other related duties as assigned
