Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum two years experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or porter roles
- Ability to stand for extended periods, walk, climb stairs and ladders
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds
- Ability to handle cleaning equipment safely
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and in a team
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to follow safety standards and company policies
- Flexibility to work varying schedules based on property needs
Job Qualifications
- Minimum two years experience in housekeeping, janitorial work, or porter role in residential buildings
- Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products and their proper use
- Ability to operate standard cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor polishers, and cleaning carts
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to react and address emergency situations in a timely manner
Job Duties
- Clean hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, common rooms and other assigned work areas
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies using vacuum cleaners and shampooers
- Empty wastebaskets and ashtrays and transport trash to disposal areas
- Carry toilet items and cleaning supplies using wheeled carts
- Sweep, scrub, wax, and/or polish floors using brooms, mops, and powered machines
- Dust and polish furniture and equipment
- Keep storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy
- Remove debris from driveways, garages, and swimming pool areas
- Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork
- Report maintenance issues to Building Maintenance Department
- Disinfect equipment and supplies using germicides or steam sterilizers
- Dust window blinds
- Observe all safety standards and precautions
- Report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors
- Prepare rooms for meetings and arrange furniture for functions
- Properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required
