Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- prior experience in housekeeping or laundry preferred
- availability to work flexible shifts
- ability to follow detailed instructions and community procedures
- physical ability to perform cleaning and laundry tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
- willingness to comply with drug testing and health requirements including tuberculosis test and physical evaluation
- readiness to complete required trainings
- commitment to uphold safety and infection control standards
- ability to respect resident privacy and maintain confidentiality
- possession of a valid driver’s license if driving community vehicles

Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas as assigned
- sweep, dust, dust mop, and wet mop all flooring, spot clean and vacuum floors, rugs, carpets, and runners
- clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures
- dust, wash, sponge mop, sanitize and hand shampoo furniture, dust desk and floor lamps, and clean and polish glass surfaces, woodwork, walls, and windowsills
- knock on resident’s doors before entering and respect their privacy during the cleaning process
- knock on public restroom doors before entering and wait for a response before beginning cleaning
- maintain equipment and supplies needed to perform work in clean and orderly condition
- transport supplies including clean and soiled linen to appropriate storage and collection areas
- collect trash and maintain trash receptacles and collection areas in a clean and sanitary manner
- collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry
- sort, wash, and dry linens properly following approved laundry procedures
- fold, count, and stack linens
- inspect linens for wear and tear and follow procedures for damaged linens
- maintain commercial laundry in clean, orderly, and sanitary condition
- assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
- practice positive resident relations and respond to resident requests
- review, read, notate, and initial Daily Log to document resident changes
- ensure cleaning chemicals are stored and locked when not in use
- keep cords, carts, equipment, and hazards out of the way and not blocking exits
- partner with community team to comply with health and safety regulations
- practice safety procedures including proper use of PPE, fire extinguishers, SDS, and Lockout Tagout
- maintain equipment and supplies to avoid waste and prevent accidents
- comply with infection control techniques and procedures
- participate in team goals and engagement programs
- demonstrate Team Member Credo in daily interactions
- commit to serving residents through Principles of Service
- attend meetings and maintain compliance with training
- perform other duties as assigned
