Job Requirements
- Must be eighteen years of age
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
- Prefer prior housekeeping or janitorial experience
- Able to safely operate standard household equipment
- Knowledge of assisted living and dementia care
- Able to work with seniors and cognitively impaired individuals
- Able to be flexible, adapt, and respond to change
- Able to process and apply instructions
- Able to analyze and solve problems
- Able to perform basic math
- Able to read, write, and speak English effectively
- Must be highly motivated and independent
- Able to obtain valid first aid certification
- Able to obtain valid Food Handler's certification if needed
- Must pass health screening including chest x-ray or intradermal test
Job Qualifications

- Able to safely operate standard household equipment such as dishwasher, iron, vacuum, washer, and dryer
- Knowledge of assisted living and dementia care principles
- Able to work patiently with seniors and cognitively impaired individuals
- Able to adapt to change and prioritize tasks
- Able to follow written and oral instructions
- Able to solve problems effectively
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- Highly motivated and able to work independently
- Able to obtain and maintain valid first aid certification
- Able to obtain and maintain valid Food Handler's certification as needed
- Physically fit and able to perform job tasks, verified by health screening
Job Duties
- Clean all resident apartments, including bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and general areas
- Clean all public, common, and work areas, including bathrooms, carpets, floors, walls, ceilings, entrance and exit ways
- Discard waste and trash into proper containers and reline receptacles
- Clean and stock housekeeping cart and secure it when unattended
- Complete community and resident laundry and ironing as assigned
- Maintain safe and clean work areas free of hazards
- Use proper protective equipment and safely handle cleaning chemicals following established protocols
