Job Requirements

  • Temporary employment position for 28 weeks
  • Willingness to work long hours daily
  • Able to pass federal pre-employment drug testing
  • Physical ability to meet moderate demands such as lifting, bending, climbing

Job Qualifications

  • Must be at least eighteen years of age
  • Must be an American citizen or Green Card holder
  • Willing and able to work a minimum of 12 hours per day, 7 days a week for up to 28 weeks
  • Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and extended periods of standing or walking
  • Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
  • Commitment to company grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
  • Ability to pass pre-employment drug test including for marijuana and other controlled substances
  • Willingness to abstain from alcohol consumption during employment
  • Ability to perform emergency and safety functions essential to ship operation
  • Demonstrated dedication to hospitality and guest service excellence

Job Duties

  • Responsible for creating and maintaining an environment that is clean, safe, and attractive for guests
  • Prioritize comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas around the ship
  • Acknowledge guests by name and kindly take action for all housekeeping-related inquiries and service requests according to company service standards
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
  • Organize inventory and stock linen and supplies
  • Carefully clean up spills with appropriate equipment and notify managers of necessary maintenance requests
  • Collect and dispose of trash
  • Properly clean upholstered furniture and lounge spaces
  • Create genuine relationships with guests and cater to all housekeeping requests efficiently
  • Perform additional functions such as greeting guests upon embarkation and helping during special events including afternoon tea, snacks, and evening cocktail parties
