Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous hospitality or housekeeping experience is beneficial but not required
- Ability to work onboard a ship in a temporary 28-week contract
- Physical ability to perform housekeeping tasks such as lifting, cleaning, and standing for long hours
- Ability to follow safety procedures and training protocols
- Must be able to comply with company policies including no alcohol consumption on ship
- Must be available for all scheduled shifts and able to work flexible hours
- Good communication skills to interact with guests and crew
- Must pass all required pre-employment screening including drug testing
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- American citizen or Green Card holder
- Ability to work minimum 12 hours per day, 7 days a week, for up to 28 weeks
- Ability to meet moderate physical demands including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing or walking for extended periods
- Pre-employment drug test including marijuana and other controlled substances
- Willingness to comply with grooming standards including limitations on visible tattoos and piercings
- Ability to perform emergency and safety functions as trained
- Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure
- Strong commitment to providing conscientious guest service
Job Duties
- Create and maintain a clean, safe, and attractive environment for guests
- Prioritize comfort and cleanliness of staterooms, facilities, and common areas
- Acknowledge guests by name and respond kindly to housekeeping inquiries and service requests
- Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors
- Organize inventory and stock linen and supplies
- Clean up spills using appropriate equipment and report maintenance needs
- Collect and dispose of trash
- Clean upholstered furniture and lounge areas
- Build genuine relationships with guests and efficiently cater to housekeeping requests
- Assist with greeting guests upon embarkation and support special events such as afternoon tea and evening cocktail parties
