Job Requirements

  • Reliable transportation to and from work
  • able to work shifts on weekends and holidays
  • able to work in a standing position for long periods of time
  • able to lift, reach, bend, and stoop
  • able to safely lift and carry up two flights of stairs full laundry baskets and boxes of supplies, weighing up to 20 pounds
  • hotel experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Wash, dry, and fold all hotel linens
  • make beds
  • replenish guest room supplies, including clean towels and washcloths
  • clean and mop rooms, hallways, restrooms, stairways, and exterior bathrooms
  • clean rugs, upholstered furniture, and draperies using vacuum cleaner
  • dust furniture and fixtures
  • disinfect and deodorize in-room refrigerator and microwave
  • check plates, bowls, and glassware in cabinets, returning dirty dishes to restaurant and replacing any missing items
  • wash walls, ceilings, and woodwork as needed
  • wash windows, door panels, and sills
  • empty wastebaskets
  • transport trash and waste to dumpster
  • replenish bathroom supplies
  • replace light bulbs as needed
  • report any damages or maintenance issues to General Manager immediately
  • communicate low stock items and supplies to GM for reorder
  • report guests' items left behind to front desk and turn in to GM
  • abide by the regulations set forth by the material safety data sheets when using chemicals
  • report to work for scheduled shift on time and in uniform in accordance with company policy
  • know and comply with all company policies and procedures pertaining to this position and its duties
  • take the initiative to greet guests in a friendly and warm manner
  • perform other related duties as required or requested by the GM
