Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • One to three months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Basic Microsoft Office Suite knowledge
  • Ability to walk, stand, climb stairs or ladders and access various areas of the property
  • Ability to push or pull items and reach overhead
  • Ability to bend, stoop or kneel
  • Must be able to see to perform inspections and read computer screens
  • Must be able to hear and understand verbal communications in person and over the phone or computer
  • May occasionally be required to lift or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to operate a computer, keyboard, mouse and other office equipment

Job Duties

  • Perform regular custodial duties around the property and maintain common areas, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and removing trash
  • Complete grounds work such as picking up trash, cleaning dumpster areas, trash rooms and trash chutes, blowing parking areas and sidewalks, removing debris, power washing
  • Thoroughly clean breezeways by removing cobwebs, bugs in lights, mopping floors, power washing, and wiping down doors and handrails
  • Collaborate effectively with maintenance team members, other departments, and external contractors to ensure seamless property maintenance
  • Assess property safety and cleanliness standards, ensuring compliance with regulations and enhancing resident well-being
  • Maintain the cleanliness of grounds, deliver notices to apartments, and perform tasks like interior and exterior painting
  • Follow directions from Maintenance Manager and Community Manager to complete assigned tasks
