Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel environment
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds and push/pull up to 150 pounds
  • Physical stamina to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow safety and security procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Hotel housekeeping experience is required
  • Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance
  • Move, bend, lift up to 35 pounds, carry, push and/or pull up to 150 pounds without assistance
  • Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including night shifts, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Thoroughly clean guest rooms including making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, and dusting
  • Restock and replace used items within guest rooms
  • Complete daily task sheet assignment in a timely manner
  • Communicate clean status of each room upon completion
  • Stock supply cart and ensure that it is neat and well organized at all times
  • Respond to all hotel guests efficiently and in an appropriately friendly manner
  • Maintain and protect equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in floor linen closets
  • Report and monitor guest room maintenance issues
  • Understand both Houseperson and Public Space positions well enough to perform duties in associates' absence
  • Maintain highest levels of cleanliness throughout the hotel property
  • Complete daily and weekly cleaning projects as assigned
  • Anticipate, listen, and follow through with all the guests' requests in a timely manner
  • Communicate any needs or concerns within the hotel with the appropriate departments
  • Follow all Loss Prevention procedures regarding guest property, safety, and security
  • Reporting any concerns to department managers or loss prevention in a timely manner
  • Attend all designated staff meetings and training sessions
