- Sweep floors
- mop floors
- vacuum floors
- buff floors
- strip floors
- wash floors
- shampoo floor surfaces
- clean and dust furniture
- clean and dust closets
- clean telephone areas
- dust vents
- scour sinks
- polish sinks
- sanitize sinks
- clean counters
- clean stainless steel surfaces
- clean waste receptacles
- empty waste receptacles
- clean solid waste containers
- transport medical waste to outside storeroom as directed
- use room deodorizer as necessary
- ensure paper supplies are always available
- wash windows
- wash walls
- remove draperies and rugs as directed
- gather and return cleaning supplies and equipment daily
- follow OSHA standards for handling infectious waste
