Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Institutional housekeeping experience preferred
- Ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to demonstrate correct use of work-related chemicals, supplies, tools and equipment
- Ability to collaborate with others in order to provide optimal customer service
- Ability to lift and transport objects weighing up to 65lbs
- Ability to stoop, bend, walk and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in all weather conditions
- Ability to work from a ladder
- Ability to push and move equipment and furniture
- Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands when working with required equipment

Job Duties
- Perform routine cleaning of assigned areas using standard cleaning supplies and disinfectants to high standards of cleanliness and disinfecting
- Sanitize room contents for terminal clean upon resident discharge
- Clean apartments after resident move or renovations in Senior or Assisted Living settings and report maintenance needs
- Move and relocate furniture, furnishings, and equipment during resident room changes or move-outs
- Handle room setup and breakdown for meetings, banquets, and classes
- Care for hard surface floors by dust mopping and damp mopping, setting up caution signs
- Spot clean carpets, entry mats, runners, and upholstery as needed
- Pick up and remove trash in assigned areas
- Complete cleaning assignments timely according to housekeeping procedures
- Maintain and clean department equipment and remove unsafe equipment from service
- Communicate effectively with clinical and non-clinical staff
- Report any changes in resident status or belongings left behind to supervisors
- Adhere to safety and cleanliness guidelines
- May perform other assigned duties as appropriate
