Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in housekeeping or environmental services preferred
- Ability to work overnight shifts from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am
- Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift up to 35 lbs for clinical staff and 50 lbs for non-clinical staff
- Ability to use assisted-lift devices or get assistance for lifting above maximum limits
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to perform assigned cleaning tasks in various hospital areas
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- Prior equivalent work experience in housekeeping or environmental services is a plus
- Knowledge of different cleaning types such as daily, discharge, terminal, and isolation cleaning
- Customer service skills
- Ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols
- Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks
- Familiarity with trash removal processes
Job Duties
- Perform daily cleaning tasks in patient and resident rooms
- Clean nursing stations, lounges, and restrooms according to established protocols
- Remove trash following the specified process
- Conduct various types of cleaning including daily, discharge, terminal, and isolation cleaning
- Clean restrooms differently in public areas versus patient rooms including showers
- Maintain cleanliness in offices and clinic areas
- Follow Environmental Services department assignments and standards
