Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Prior experience in housekeeping or environmental services preferred
  • Ability to work overnight shifts from 11:00 pm to 7:30 am
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach, lift up to 35 lbs for clinical staff and 50 lbs for non-clinical staff
  • Ability to use assisted-lift devices or get assistance for lifting above maximum limits
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to perform assigned cleaning tasks in various hospital areas

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Prior equivalent work experience in housekeeping or environmental services is a plus
  • Knowledge of different cleaning types such as daily, discharge, terminal, and isolation cleaning
  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to follow detailed cleaning protocols
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks
  • Familiarity with trash removal processes

Job Duties

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks in patient and resident rooms
  • Clean nursing stations, lounges, and restrooms according to established protocols
  • Remove trash following the specified process
  • Conduct various types of cleaning including daily, discharge, terminal, and isolation cleaning
  • Clean restrooms differently in public areas versus patient rooms including showers
  • Maintain cleanliness in offices and clinic areas
  • Follow Environmental Services department assignments and standards
