Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- experience in housekeeping in a health care or hospitality service preferred
- ability to lift push or pull objects up to 100 pounds occasionally and up to 50 pounds frequently
- ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with residents families visitors and staff
- knowledge of housekeeping procedures and safety protocols
- ability to follow infection control procedures and handle cleaning chemicals safely
- compassionate nature with a genuine interest in elder care
- willingness to maintain confidentiality and protect residents rights
Job Qualifications
- must possess interpersonal skills to communicate with residents families visitors and staff in a way that ensures the safety and security of the residents
- must have knowledge of housekeeping procedures and practices
- must be able to work independently and prioritize workload as emergencies arise
- must be able to read and understand directions on cleaning solutions and equipment to avoid risks
- must be knowledgeable of the location of the MSDS sheets on hazardous materials and able to understand the guidelines
- must have compassion and genuinely care for the elderly
- demonstrates a servant heart and attitude by following the community's Mission Statement

Job Duties
- cleaning and sanitizing residents apartments and common areas by removing trash dusting mopping vacuuming scrubbing baths and toilets headboard and footboard care and cleaning glass following community policies and procedures
- replacing and restocking toilet tissue paper towels and facial tissue
- deep cleaning apartments and common areas as assigned following community policies and procedures
- shampooing carpets and furniture washing windows and screens as assigned
- responding to residents cleaning needs in a positive timely and respectful manner
- preparing apartments for move-in by ensuring they are clean and welcoming following checklists to ensure all tasks are completed
- cleaning up after accidents in a timely efficient manner while maintaining the dignity of the resident
- maintaining equipment and supplies in clean working order
- reporting to the Director any safety concerns repairs needed or problem areas promptly
- following all infection control and safety procedures associated with job duties
- maintaining cleaning cart by ensuring it is orderly and stocked appropriately and observing rules of storing and keeping supplies a safe distance from residents and others
- maintaining confidentiality of residents personal information and protecting and supporting residents rights
- maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor that encourages a positive nurturing environment for residents families vendors and guests
- maintaining a positive customer service environment and practicing honesty and integrity in all aspects of performance
- informing supervisor of supplies that are running low so stock can be replenished in a timely manner
- ensuring adequate daily coverage for meal service by communicating with Culinary Services Director and host or hostess including taking resident orders providing drink refills assisting with cleaning resetting and preparation of the dining room between mealtimes
- performing all other duties as assigned or required
