Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- related experience preferred
- ability to follow instructions from supervisors or senior maintenance workers
- knowledge of general carpentry and repair
- ability to use hand tools and power tools and painting materials if required
- excellent organizational and time management skills
- works within OSHA requirements and applicable Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs)
- safely and correctly operate all laundry equipment
- knowledge of and ability to perform required role in emergency situations
- prolonged periods standing and walking
- physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces
- able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time
- able to lift up to 30 pounds and perform strenuous work lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and climbing
- use ladders when required

Job Duties
- Empties wastebaskets and trash areas
- cleans restrooms
- wipes all windowsills, walls and light switches, mirrors, and windows
- vacuums rugs, floors, hallways, and baseboards
- dusts all furniture and fixtures
- checks lamps for burned-out light bulbs
- checks heating and air conditioning unit for proper operation
- restocks all stationery
- cleans and sanitizes toilets
- cleans walls, baseboards, and floors
- washes, operates, dries, and folds laundry
- folds and stores linen by type
- cleans laundry room and linen room as required
- requisitions laundry supplies
- stocks storage rooms
- attends staff meetings
- performs other appropriate tasks assigned by the Facilities Manager
