Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- prior experience in housekeeping or food service preferred
- ability to communicate effectively in English
- basic computer literacy
- strong organizational and time management skills
- knowledge of sanitation and food safety practices
- ability to handle physical workload associated with housekeeping tasks
Job Qualifications
- Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- effective communication in English with employees and residents
- general knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices
- ability to retain up to four orders at one time
- strong organization and time management skills
- basic computer skills
Job Duties
- Provide general housekeeping for both the Community as a whole and individual resident apartments
- clean and defrost refrigerators as needed
- change the bed and linens and ensure adequate linen supplies
- provide deep cleaning of apartments and common areas including carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures
- launder all linens by washing and drying in the laundry facilities
- follow company sanitation and safety procedures
- greet residents and guests with a smile to serve beverages, cereals, and soups or salads from the cart
- clearly review the menu, take resident orders, and serve meals and desserts
- return cart to kitchen and assist with the storage of perishable items
- bus and clear dishes from tables after meals and reset following sanitizing procedures
- complete side work such as filling sugar holders and cleaning the coffeemaker
- perform other duties as needed or assigned
