Job Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- able to work 80 hours per pay period including various weekdays, every third weekend and holiday rotation
- able to perform physical cleaning tasks including mopping, dusting, vacuuming, washing windows and walls, polishing and scrubbing
- able to follow safety guidelines when using equipment and chemicals
- commitment to maintaining a safe and clean environment
- reliable and punctual
- capable of restocking cleaning supplies consistently
- able to maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and staff
- willing to follow infection control policies and facility procedures
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old
- prior housekeeping experience preferred but not required
- ability to follow detailed instructions and established safety protocols
- knowledge of infection control practices advantageous
- dependable and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- good communication skills to interact with residents, families, and staff
- physical ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and handle cleaning equipment
Job Duties
- Clean resident rooms, baths, common resident areas, staff work areas and other common areas used by staff and visitors
- perform cleaning procedures such as mopping, dusting, vacuuming, washing windows and walls, polishing and scrubbing
- ensure that all work areas and carts are kept safe and secure
- familiar with all infection control and department and facility policies and procedures that directly affect the duties of housekeeping
- follow all safety rules when using equipment and chemicals and report unsafe work areas to a supervisor
- maintain a positive relationship with residents, families, and staff
- re-stock housekeeping carts, soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and toilet tissue
- keep all equipment clean, locked as indicated, and in a safe manner, as work dictates
