Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- One year of housekeeping experience
- Ability to work the majority of the day walking, twisting, bending, pushing, and kneeling
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and equipment
- Valid state-issued driver’s license preferred
- Respirator fit testing may be required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Minimum one year of housekeeping experience
- Knowledge of various cleaning methods, materials, and equipment
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as BobCat, forklift, snow blowers, and plows
- Ability to safely drive university vehicles
- Knowledge of floor and carpet care including refinishing, scrubbing, burnishing, polishing, shampooing, and extraction
Job Duties
- Clean restrooms including disinfecting basins, urinals, and toilet bowls
- Monitor and replenish restroom supplies
- Remove trash and recycle as needed
- Perform periodic floor maintenance such as vacuuming, mopping, waxing, and buffing
- Dust office furniture, vents, corridors, and staircases
- Conduct snow removal using shovels and power equipment
- Set up tables and chairs for events
- Move furniture as required
- Operate motor vehicle to transport garbage
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
