Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- previous housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
- ability to follow safety and sanitation guidelines
- dependable and punctual
- positive attitude and strong work ethic
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- Must successfully complete all company specified training programs
- able to operate cleaning equipment such as iron, washer & dryer, brooms, mops, vacuums
- able to work various schedules and shifts
- basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills
- communicate effectively in English with employees and residents
- general knowledge of sanitation
- strong organization and time management skills
- basic computer skills
Job Duties
- Clean public areas and resident apartments including bathrooms, kitchens, patios, windows, floors, furniture, and common areas
- perform all housekeeping duties including distributing laundered articles and linens, changing beds, cleaning public restrooms and replenishing supplies, sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors, cleaning rugs and furniture, dusting, polishing metalwork, washing walls and woodwork
- perform all laundry duties including washing and drying resident laundry and textiles, folding and hanging laundry, distributing laundered articles, changing bed linens
- maintain resident laundry areas including mopping floors, washing walls, and checking lint traps
- wash windows at reasonable heights throughout the community
- keep utility and storage rooms clean and orderly
- disinfect and sanitize equipment and supplies
- stock the cleaning cart with supplies
- empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal areas
- work with maintenance to keep trash and dumpster areas clean
- request maintenance work orders for repairs
- report resident health or living status changes promptly
- report potentially unsafe conditions and maintenance-related issues to supervisor
- perform other duties as assigned
