Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- Ability to perform housekeeping tasks physically
- Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Willingness to comply with mandated reporting laws
- Ability to work full time
- Must be reliable and detail-oriented
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or experience
- Knowledge of applicable HIPAA, OSHA, state and local laws and regulations including Department of Social Services and Community Care Licensing
- Understanding of principles of good housekeeping and sanitation practices
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions
- Basic mathematical skills to calculate figures, discounts, proportions, and percentages
- Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form
Job Duties
- Provide housekeeping services to all residents in a culturally competent manner
- Abide by principles of good housekeeping and sanitation practices
- Maintain cleanliness of all resident quarters, common areas, recreation rooms, storage areas, and staff offices
- Perform laundry services as needed
- Clean facility daily
- Maintain equipment in good working order
- Ensure housekeeping equipment and supplies are ordered as needed
- Follow and perform the Housekeeper Duties Checklist
- Maintain knowledge and compliance with Title 22 and all applicable regulations
- Teach interested residents basic housekeeping and laundry skills
- Provide support and assist staff
- Report any dangerous conditions observed including medications or weapons or dangerous behaviors by residents
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
- Report suspected abuse of dependent adults and elders to law enforcement and other authorities
