Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
Ability to perform housekeeping tasks physically
Knowledge of sanitation and safety regulations
Ability to communicate effectively in English
Willingness to comply with mandated reporting laws
Ability to work full time
Must be reliable and detail-oriented

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or experience
Knowledge of applicable HIPAA, OSHA, state and local laws and regulations including Department of Social Services and Community Care Licensing
Understanding of principles of good housekeeping and sanitation practices
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions
Basic mathematical skills to calculate figures, discounts, proportions, and percentages
Ability to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form

Job Duties

Provide housekeeping services to all residents in a culturally competent manner
Abide by principles of good housekeeping and sanitation practices
Maintain cleanliness of all resident quarters, common areas, recreation rooms, storage areas, and staff offices
Perform laundry services as needed
Clean facility daily
Maintain equipment in good working order
Ensure housekeeping equipment and supplies are ordered as needed
Follow and perform the Housekeeper Duties Checklist
Maintain knowledge and compliance with Title 22 and all applicable regulations
Teach interested residents basic housekeeping and laundry skills
Provide support and assist staff
Report any dangerous conditions observed including medications or weapons or dangerous behaviors by residents
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Report suspected abuse of dependent adults and elders to law enforcement and other authorities
