Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • ability to perform housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment
  • desire to work with seniors
  • willingness to comply with safety and health regulations
  • ability to communicate effectively
  • ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • ability to handle multiple priorities and interruptions
  • ability to maintain equipment and supplies
  • must pass a drug test and participate in health screenings
  • must comply with state and local vaccination requirements as applicable

Job Duties

  • perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas
  • perform cleaning duties according to schedule including sweeping, dusting, mopping, vacuuming, sanitizing, and polishing
  • knock on resident and public restroom doors before entering and respect privacy
  • maintain equipment and supplies in clean and orderly condition
  • transport supplies including clean and soiled linen to appropriate storage
  • collect and maintain trash receptacles
  • collect, wash, dry, fold, and redistribute community laundry
  • inspect linens for wear and tear and handle damaged linens according to procedures
  • assist Care Managers with resident care when requested
  • respond to resident requests and document observations
  • ensure cleaning chemicals are safely stored
  • maintain safety by managing cords, equipment, and hazards
  • comply with occupational health and safety regulations
  • practice safety procedures including PPE and fire safety
  • contribute to team goals and participate in engagement activities
  • attend meetings and complete required training
  • perform other assigned duties
