Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- CPR certification
- Hospital-selected de-escalation technique certification
- Previous work experience
- Ability to follow established cleaning protocols and safety standards
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow infection control and safety guidelines
- Must be able to work in a team environment
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED

- Hospital-selected de-escalation technique certification
- Some college preferred
- Maintains education and development appropriate for position
- Previous work experience preferred
- One to three months related experience and/or training preferred
- Demonstrates communication skills both verbal and written
- Adheres to standards of behavior
- Understands and supports quality initiatives
Job Duties
- Performs routine cleaning of hospital areas including patient rooms, patient care units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways
- Washes windows, walls, floors, beds, and furniture upon patient discharge
- Applies clean linen on disinfected patient beds
- Utilizes appropriate chemicals and supplies according to procedures
- Uses and maintains cleaning equipment properly
- Transports trash and hazardous waste to appropriate disposal area
- Replenishes supplies
- Reports any furniture, fixtures, building, and equipment repairs required to supervisor
- Follows infection prevention and control practices including handwashing, standard precautions, and isolation precautions
- Maintains set quality standards when performing job duties
- Completes work assignments timely
- Performs other duties as required
