Job Requirements

  • high school graduate or equivalent
  • ability to read, write and follow verbal and written instructions
  • ability to demonstrate correct use of work-related chemicals, supplies, tools and equipment
  • ability to collaborate with others to provide optimal customer service
  • ability to lift and transport objects weighing up to 65lbs
  • ability to stoop, bend, walk and stand for extended periods of time
  • ability to work in all weather conditions

  • ability to push and move equipment and furniture
  • manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands

Job Duties

  • perform routine cleaning of assigned areas using standard cleaning supplies and disinfectants
  • sanitize rooms upon resident discharge for terminal cleaning
  • clean apartments after resident moves or renovations noting maintenance needs
  • move and relocate furniture, furnishings, and equipment upon resident room changes or discharges
  • setup and breakdown rooms for meetings, banquets, and classes
  • care for hard surface floors including dust mopping and damp mopping
  • spot clean carpets, entry mats, runners, and upholstered furniture as needed
  • pick up and remove trash in assigned areas
  • complete cleaning assignments timely and following housekeeping procedures
  • maintain department equipment in clean and safe condition
  • perform nominal maintenance on vacuum and work carts
  • communicate with clinical and non-clinical staff to execute tasks efficiently
  • report resident belongings left behind and any changes in resident status
  • follow all safety and cleanliness guidelines
  • handle other duties as assigned
